Midlands manufacturer Castlefield Products Ltd has announced it
will be launching two new international products at this year's
Horti Fair in Amsterdam, following their success at the Four Oaks
Show.
The Quarry Bank based firm hopes to recreate the success they
had at the UK's largest ornamental horticultural show, which took
place in Cheshire in September, by launching the "Kingston" E
trolley and "Watford" Soil Conditioner Sieve overseas.
Castlefield received a record number of enquiries for their
products at Four Oaks, with a great deal of interest being
generated in the both the customer trolley and the sieve.
Geoffrey Gwilt, Sales Consultant at Castlefield Products Ltd
said "We have a strong presence abroad at the moment, but with more
and more UK manufacturing companies rising up after the recession,
competition is tough and we are keen to continue
expanding."
Castlefield Products is returning to Horti Fair after having an
extremely successful show last year, and are eager to review their
overseas competitors.
Steve Ruston, Managing Director of Bird Stevens said "Whilst we
take pleasure in exhibiting on home soil, it is very interesting to
see what companies abroad are doing.
"Horticultural products manufactured by British firms are often
designed in a very different way to those manufactured it Europe -
so we are looking forward to standing out from the crowd.
"We welcome the opportunity to meet our European counterparts
and sharing industry knowledge with them."
Castlefield was previously an independent company owned by
Geoffrey Gwilt before being bought by Bird Stevens in 2007.
Horti Fair 2010 will take place at the Amsterdam RAI on 12-15
October.
