Nottingham-based Fraser Brown Solicitors are no strangers to
court battles - but their participation in a charity netball
tournament last week led to success of a different kind.
The law firm gathered 7 other teams drawn from the Nottingham
business community including Natwest, Boots, RSM Tenon, Browne
Jacobson, UHY Hacker Young and Freeth Cartwright; and raised an
impressive total of £500 for the Nottingham Woman's Centre.
In the end, it was Boots that won the tournament - but Heather
Mitchell from Fraser Brown said her team was no less delighted with
the result.
"It was a hard fought competition with every team battling to
the bitter end, but raising so much money for a good cause made all
the hard work worthwhile. All the teams really enjoyed themselves,
and are looking forward to having another shot at netting the
trophy next year.

"To the victorious Boots, I'd like to say congratulations - you
really gave us a workout, from which we are still recovering!"
Following on from an equally successful competition of this kind
last year, this was the second netball tournament that Fraser Brown
has organised - but it is just one of many activities making up its
busy fundraising programme, packed full of sporting tournaments and
physical challenges.
The company's greatest conquest to date was its completion of
the Three Peaks Challenge last month, through which the team raised
£13,500 over 24 hours of strenuous mountain climbing.
