Passionate Solihull Barons ice hockey fan Russell Williams had a
big surprise - thanks to staff at the Stourbridge-based Western
region of Mansell Construction Services.
Russell's home was the 2000th property to be refurbished by
Mansell as part of a major £25 million house improvement
programme in Solihull.
To mark the milestone, Mansell arranged for a visit to Russell's
home in Castle Lane, Solihull by Solihull Barons captain Rob Eley,
and top scorer Rich Slater. They also presented 37-year old Russell
with a signed team shirt. The handover was watched by Mansell and
Solihull Community Housing staff including Dave Ray of SCH, Paul
Sanders, chair of the tenants' forum, Mansell tenant liaison
officer Sarah Fletcher and site managers Lee Jones and Alan
Cooper.
Mansell is carrying out the refurbishment work on behalf of
Solihull Community Housing, undertaking Decent Homes and
refurbishment work to the local authority housing stock.
Russell, tenant of the 2000th home to be completed under the
scheme said he was delighted with the work carried out by
Mansell.
Solihull Community Housing is Solihull Metropolitan Borough
Council's arms length management organisation which looks after the
