Midlands based EcoForce becomes one of Kevin's "Green Heroes" at Grand Designs Live, Birmingham

EcoForce, the Midlands-based range of recycled household products, has been selected as one of Kevin's "Green Heroes" at Grand Designs Live Birmingham, 8-10 October 2010 at the NEC.

Green guru Kevin McCloud of Grand Designs fame has chosen 10 British companies out of all show exhibitors which he feels are at the cutting edge of development in sustainable, recyclable and eco-friendly products for the home. EcoForce was also selected as one of Kevin's Green Heroes for Grand Designs Live in ExCel, London earlier this year and retains its place as one of the best 'green' products available at the Birmingham show.

Kevin's Green Heroes aims to highlight innovative and sustainable products made by UK based 'green' entrepreneurs. EcoForce is a family-run firm based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, which designs and manufactures affordable, eco-friendly household products from recycled materials. The range includes recycled clothes pegs, peg baskets and clothes lines, recycled sponges, scourers, cloths and dusters and recycled food bag grips.

Daniel Neumann, managing director of EcoForce, comments: "Our ethos is to offer products that are effective, good value and recycled. It seems ludicrous that so many products are manufactured from virgin materials, at great cost to our environment, when in so many cases it is completely unnecessary. Recycled plastic saves oil and product miles, reduces landfill and uses 70% less energy than making virgin plastic.  Our products are not just 10%, 20% or 30% recycled - they are all around the 90% mark and that's an important differential against other products. We are delighted that Kevin McCloud shares our same passion for the environment and has recognised EcoForce as being a shining example of a 'green hero.'"

EcoForce's award-winning products do not compromise on quality or price and offer an ethical, 'greener' choice when it comes to buying everyday household products.

Daniel Neumann adds: "The EcoForce mission is to provide practical and effective household products made from recycled materials that offer a greener, more sustainable alternative to what is currently on the shelves, helping you run a greener home without it costing the earth."

EcoForce is available nationally in Sainsburys, Tesco, Morrisons and online with Ocado.
