The Stourbridge-based Western Region of Mansell has been awarded
a building contract worth more than £3 million for a new
neighbourhood centre in Coventry.
The £3.2 million contract is for a centre in Whitaker
Road, Allesley, adjoining the existing Allesley Park medical centre
and the Wilfred Spencer day centre.
The new two-storey mixed use building will incorporate the
expansion of the existing GP surgery, a new pharmacy, a community
library, additional clinical space and a sunken garden. The phased
work includes demolishing an existing building, constructing the
new facilities, internal fitting out and landscaping.
The project has been commissioned by CareCapital and is due for
completion by autumn 2011.
