Renowned for its innovative designs and stunning awards, Special
EFX, based at Ettington Park near Stratford-upon-Avon, has just
installed the first ever Dynamic XD Waterjet Cutting Machine in the
UK, which has significantly expanded the creative scope for metal
and glass trophies and awards. The company is now pioneering
new shapes and designs, never seen before.
A novel example of what can now be created by the company, with
the new technology, is the awards the company made for Alitalia's
recent corporate go-karting event. Special EFX designed and
made the awards in a shape to reinforce the Alitalia brand and to
reflect the go-kart racing theme of the event. The award was
significantly larger than normally available and was made from
solid, nickel plated aluminium, screen-printed in Alitalia red and
green, and came complete with rotating wheels.
Melanie Osborne, Sales Director at Special EFX, says the Dynamic
XD has transformed what they can offer customers: "Metal and
crystal awards are always popular, as they have such as high
perceived value and never fail to impress. With our new
cutting equipment we can now design three dimensionally including
logos, intricate, pierced patterns and a myriad of shapes such as
cones, wedges, twists and tapers - in fact, virtually anything is
possible and in any colour too".
Special EFX design, manufactures and engraves its awards at its
works near Stratford-upon-Avon, and provides quality trophies with
minimal lead times, to UK and overseas customers.
