Teamwork and efficiency have once again proved core to German
success.
German design firm, Aut-Tech Automation completed the expansion
of its UK hub at University of Warwick Science Park's Business
Innovation Centre in Binley in 'record time' working alongside
centre manager Karen Aston and solicitors, Wright Hassall.
Aut-Tech Automation has built a strong reputation in the
planning and design of production and inspection tools for major
automotive manufacturers.
And after moving into the park in June 2009, business has been
so good for the company that it has had to increase office space to
cope with demand.
Martin Davis, general manager of Aut-Tech-Automation, said:
"Acquiring more customers requires extra space to allow us to
facilitate multiple customers simultaneously.
"In addition we need the space for our team to work within. As
it is an international company we have colleagues from overseas
working within our office on a regular basis, also we are in the
process of recruiting local university students, so the expansion
was a necessity.
"We are delighted to be able to stay in the same facility as not
only does it make the development easier, the centre is ideally
situated as many of our automotive and engineering customers are
Midlands-based. This allows us to build up strong relationships
with our customers."
Thanks to the co-operation of all involved, the move - which
would usually take a couple of weeks to complete - took just 16
hours, something centre manager, Karen Aston, is particularly
pleased with.
She said: "It is great news that the Aut-Tech team is staying
with us because we have managed to build a great working
relationship with them, as the efficiency of this move shows.
"This agreement also demonstrates the rapid, professional
service we provide. This is part of the culture of the park and it
is something we are extremely proud of."
Barry Sankey part of Wright Hassall's commercial property team,
acted on behalf of the Science Park
"It was 16 hours from the moment Aut-Tech decided which unit
they wanted, to actually moving into the new space, which is
something of a record," he said.
"As it is a permanent lease, this type of contract usually takes
up to three weeks to secure. But thanks to the well co-ordinated
efforts of everybody involved we were able to turn it round very
quickly - an excellent example of great teamwork."
