Indian lunchtime all wrapped up in Nottingham

A new lunch concept has launched at Indian and Oriental restaurant Nimboo (formerly the Royal Oak) in Beeston, Nottingham, after an inspirational visit to the US.

Offering a great balance of quick, healthy food that doesn't compromise on taste, the new menu takes the explosive fresh flavours of the East, and serves them up as tasty wraps and salads.

The idea sparked from Nimboo's general manager, Sandy Lathia - also purchasing manager for Asiana foods - after a trip to New York where she sampled customised gourmet burritos at the Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Combining fast food and healthy meal options that are both nutritious and filling with Eastern flavours don't usually go hand in hand, but Nimboo's sous chefs Uttam and Kabir Negi have created a menu that truly achieves this.

The menu includes favourite fillings, such as Chicken Tikka, Lamb Sheesh and Duck & Hoisin, all wrapped up with vegetable rice, as well as two daily special curry and stir-fry meal deals and a selection of salads.

"After changing the name of the restaurant to Nimboo, which means lemon in Hindi, we really wanted to reflect our fresh and fun approach to Indian and Oriental cuisine. We're extremely pleased with the new menu and to celebrate, we're offering customers buy one get one free on all main meals, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday throughout September." commented Sandy.

"The local people of Beeston have given some great feedback, so I'm really looking forward to developing our expansion plans, in order to make Beeston a lively hub for food and drink in Nottingham."
