Law firm Weightmans LLP can this week celebrate a hat trick of
record rankings as the legal profession's biggest annual surveys
highlight the firm's progress.
Weightmans, which has offices in Birmingham, Leicester, London,
Manchester and its HQ in Liverpool, has secured its highest
rankings in the Lawyer UK 200 Annual Report and the Legal Business
survey of the top 100 UK law firms. In addition, the firm and
its lawyers have been given excellent rankings in the 2010 Legal
500 guide.
Weightmans have moved up to number 53 in The Lawyer's annual
report, a rise of three places from 2009. The Legal Business survey
sees the firm rise four places to number 52.
The Legal 500 Guide is the legal services industry's prestigious
guide to law firm excellence and this year's rankings acknowledge
Weightmans' position as a leading firm across a range of
sectors.
The firm has achieved sought after top tier rankings for
Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence (Midlands and Liverpool),
Professional Negligence (North West) and Transport (North
West).
Weightmans also retained impressive rankings in Corporate and
Commercial (Liverpool), Dispute Resolution (Liverpool), Commercial
Property (Liverpool), Social Housing (Liverpool) Personal Injury
(Birmingham) and Healthcare (Birmingham).
New acknowledgments for the firm included Employment (East
Midlands), Personal Injury (London), Health & Safety (North
West), Education (North West), Corporate & Commercial
(Birmingham) and Commercial Litigation (West Midlands).
The firm's Debt Recovery practice also jumped from the second
tier to a top tier rating for the first time.
The guide also notes that Weightmans "dominate in Liverpool in
police and local authority work, and is also establishing a
reputation for work in the healthcare sector."
