GVA Grimley's Birmingham office has demonstrated considerable
confidence in the Midlands' property market with the signing of a
deal to expand its existing office space by 6,660 sq ft from
August, bringing its total occupation at Three Brindleyplace to
33,260 sq ft.
The leading property consultancy had grown to occupy 26,600 sq
ft of office space on the ground and first floors of the building,
where the firm took occupation upon completion of Three
Brindleyplace in 1998. The expansion will see GVA Grimley taking
further space on part of the fourth floor of the building from the
end of August.
With 350 employees currently within the Birmingham office, the
firm has experienced growth in a number of service areas and teams
including Property Management, Property Management Accounts,
Insolvency and Building. The recent introduction of the Economic
and Social Development team has also brought further employees to
the team.
Ian Stringer, Regional Senior Director at GVA Grimley, said:
"Since our move to Brindleyplace almost 12 years ago, the firm has
benefited from the quality, flexible office space provided at Three
Brindleyplace. The building has allowed the business to grow into
the 350 strong team we are today, despite the recent difficult
economic conditions.
"With safe and secure car parking provision, a range of
excellent facilities for staff and an intensively managed
environment, the estate provides a well-connected base to attract
not only quality employees but also the clients needed to continue
to grow the business."
The deal follows Hines Global REIT and Moorfield's completion of
the £190m acquisition of eight buildings at Brindleyplace
last month. The acquisition included the purchase of Three
Brindleyplace from The Brindleyplace Limited Partnership.
Igor Mathias of Hines said: "GVA Grimley is one of
Brindleyplace's longest standing and valued tenants. The news of
the property consultancy's expansion is testament to the quality of
the office accommodation on offer at the estate, as well as the
variety of amenities that make this internationally renowned
location extremely attractive to both businesses at the estate and
leisure visitors from much further afield."
