Fast growing Cushman & Wakefield has added more new staff to
its ranks in Birmingham, including two additional surveyors.
This brings the number of new appointments at the office to
eight this year. The Birmingham office, which only opened in 2008,
now employs 65.
Among the new starters are surveyors Ed Purcell and Tom Bates.
Ed, 24, has worked at a number of leading Birmingham surveying
firms in the city, and joins C&W's retail team. Tom, 27,
trained at Birmingham firm Curry and Partners, and is now a member
of C&W's asset management team, looking after a portfolio of
clients throughout the Midlands.
Another key appointment to C&W in Birmingham is that of
Sarah Longdon, who has joined the asset management team as client
accountant team leader. Sarah will be working on behalf of a number
of clients, for whom she will be a key contact.
Scott Rutherford, head of C&W's Birmingham office, said: "We
have doubled the size of our team here in Birmingham in just two
years.
"We said when we opened here in 2008 that we intended to become
a force to be reckoned with, and our ongoing recruitment of staff
is indicative that our strategy is working, despite the challenge
posed by the current economic climate."
