DTZ welcomes 55 graduates to its graduate class of 2010. Three
graduates have joined DTZ in Birmingham; Elizabeth Inglis, James
Orr and Alexis Shaw all join the office's Corporate Real Estate
Management (CREM) team.
In total, 14 graduates have joined DTZ's UK regional office
network in Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and
Newcastle. A further 35 graduates have joined DTZ in London.
Six graduates, Chinese nationals who studied in the UK, will work
for DTZ in Hong Kong and mainland China.
The UK-based recruits have arrived at DTZ's global headquarters
in the City of London to complete their induction week, which will
equip them with knowledge of the DTZ business and the industry.
The induction week marks the start of a two-year training
programme that will see the graduates gaining experience by
rotating around a range of departments. On qualification, the
graduates will work across DTZ's business, in commercial, building
and residential surveying, corporate real estate consulting,
planning, economics and Investment Management.
Jon Leedham, Regional Managing Director at DTZ in Birmingham,
said: "Graduates are vital to the future success of our business
and I'm delighted that we're in a position to continue to bring
significant new graduate talent into our firm this year. The
recession has made many young people think twice about a career in
commercial property but for those that have the ambition, ability
and attitude to succeed this industry offers them a wealth of
opportunities - and great fun besides.
"To ensure that our existing and new graduates get the support
and opportunities that they deserve, we've strengthened our
graduate development programme, which is one of the best in the
business, to provide more leadership training and experience, as
well as the nuts and bolts professional training that graduates
need."
Sarah Kelly, Graduate Recruitment Manager at DTZ said: "We have
recruited to a range of disciplines, including commercial
surveying, building surveying, development consulting, economics
and corporate real estate consulting, which reflects the diversity
of our business."
In addition to the three graduates joining the Birmingham
office, a further two new recruits join as Graduate Surveyors. Tom
Burn joins the Valuations team whilst Thomas Graham joins the CREM
team.
