The Nottingham office of leading global real estate adviser,
DTZ, together with joint agents Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), has
successfully let a unit on Queens Drive Industrial Estate to FedEx
UK Limited. The express delivery specialist has taken a five year
lease on a phased rental basis.
FedEx required a well located unit in Nottingham which could
enable the company to significantly expand its current operation in
the city. Unit B, located on Crossgate Drive, comprises 27,446 sq
ft of refurbished workshop/warehouse space with a large yard area.
Queen's Drive Industrial Estate is also centrally located offering
easy access to Nottingham city centre and the M1
motorway.
Helen Longstaffe, Logistics Director at DTZ in Nottingham,
commented: "We are delighted to have secured such a good quality
tenant on this estate. Over the last six months, DTZ together with
joint agents LSH, has secured a number of lettings for CBRE
investors acting on behalf of the landlord totalling over 50,000 sq
ft. Two further units are also under offer which means that the
part of the estate in our client's ownership will be fully let.
This demonstrates that even in a challenging market, provided units
are in good condition and landlords are prepared to be flexible,
lettings are being achieved".
Sean Bremner, Head of Industrial and Logistics at LSH in
Nottingham, added: "Crossgate Drive remains a popular area for many
occupiers, the take-up of vacant units there has been impressive
and the calibre of occupiers very good. It is pleasing to
bring an international brand, such as FedEx, to our client's
estate."
DTZ and LSH acted on behalf of the landlord whilst Orchard House
Associates advised FedEx UK Limited.
