A new service has been launched in the county to help local
people take control of their finances and ensure protection of
their families' futures.
North Shropshire and Shrewsbury-based TaxAssist Accountants has
introduced its 'Planning Wheel', which highlights eight key
financial areas including estate planning, education and
income protection, and which is designed to help clients identify
those specific areas of their business or personal life that they
need to make plans for.
Nigel Lomax, owner and director of TaxAssist Accountants,
commented: "Considering all financial elements is essential if you
are to ensure a secure future, and questions people should be
asking themselves include do I have the best mortgage deal, and is
it structured correctly? What will happen if I am unable to
work for an extended period of time? How will I live once I
retire?
"People, however, often delay sorting out such plans as they
either don't see it as an immediate necessity, or assume that the
existing plans they have in place are adequate. We would
recommend that individuals assess these different areas at the same
time every year, perhaps along with their annual self-assessment
tax return, to make it as simple and straightforward as
possible.
"Our planning wheel is a simple tool which enables us to
identify the exact areas of an individual's financial situation
which need looking at, and means that we can put them in touch with
local specialists within each field who we have carefully selected,
and who would be happy to offer a free, no-obligation consultation.
"As an organisation, we are wholly committed to helping our
clients make sure that their money is working hard for them and
that they and their families are protected against any potential
risks, and would urge people to give us a call to find out
more."
