Harvey Ingram associate Neil Clayton is among just a handful of
specialist regional lawyers to land a coveted appointment to the
Law Society's Clinical Negligence Panel.
Appointments can take years to achieve. They are strict,
technically rigorous, competitive and notoriously difficult to get,
as members are obliged to prove they as among Britain's
top-performers working in the field. Neil also now joins Robert
Rose, fellow Harvey Ingram colleague and the firm's deputy managing
partner, on the panel.
Neil says: "I am delighted to receive this appointment. Clinical
negligence is an extremely rewarding and interesting area of law.
It's also a growing one and it reflects the huge increase in
workload the firm's Personal Injury team now handles on a daily
basis. Having two panel members also highlights our growing
national reputation in this area."
High-profile cases handled by Harvey Ingram's Personal Injury
team during the past 12 months include a £9 million High
Court compensation award for an eight-year-old boy left with
substantial disabilities at birth, plus several sizeable, but
undisclosed, compensation awards against Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Litigation was launched following the mis-daignosis of young
epilepsy patients by Dr Andrew Holton.
