Updates to the Equality Act and the impacts of the CRC Energy
Efficiency Scheme go under the spotlight at the next Business
Advisers' Club breakfast seminar, at the Belmont Hotel, Leicester,
on 29th September 2010.
Harvey Ingram employment specialist Kimbra Welch, will discuss
the Equality Act and an overview of the main changes due to be
brought into force in October. They include new claims of indirect
discrimination, together with the possible introduction of multiple
discrimination provisions.
She will be followed by Harvey Ingram partner and corporate
specialist John Stobart, who will give a timely outline of the
impact of CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme on industry ahead of its
forthcoming registration deadline at the end of this month. It is
likely that this new scheme will affect a number of regional
businesses.
Fellow Harvey Ingram partner and corporate specialist Roy
Botterill will chair the presentations.
The seminar will be informal and straightforward with question
and answer sessions after the presentations. It gets underway at
7.45am. A breakfast buffet will be provided and the morning will be
an excellent networking opportunity for all. Places must be
pre-booked via email to event manager Daljit Flora -
