UK wide trailer repair and maintenance specialist Bullwell
Trailer Solutions Ltd, has moved to new headquarters in
Lichfield.
The independently owned company, which employs 81 people, has
relocated from Tamworth following a sustained period of growth and
expansion in both operations and service capability, increasing
turnover from £3.5 million in 2007 to a projected £5.5m
by its November year end.
Bullwell Trailer Solutions purchased its new two acre premises
in Streethay, Lichfield for £615,000 and immediately embarked
on a state of the art fit-out. A further £50,000 has
already been invested in two specially commissioned double-decker
repair and maintenance pits for vehicle maintenance.
Offering a full range of repair and maintenance services from
MOT preparation to trailer refurbishment, the company's relocation
follows a continued growth in its client base which includes DHL,
Royal Mail, TK Maxx, UK Mail, plus one of the largest trailer
manufacturers in the UK, The Cartwright Group. The company
currently maintains some 5000 trailers across the UK and Ireland
1,400 of which are on their unique Fixed Price Maintenance package.
There is a predicted increase to 2,000 vehicles on contract by the
end of 2011. In order to service this level of growth, Bullwell
predicts its team could grow by as much as 25 per cent to reach 100
office-based staff and mobile engineers by the end of
2011.
Gary Bulley, managing director for Bullwell Trailer Solutions
comments: "The purchase of our new premises in Lichfield follows a
sustained period of phenomenal growth due to continued rising
demand for our services from clients across the UK. The majority of
our work entails on-site servicing and trailer repairs and, having
commissioned and developed our own Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
technology which enables our on-site engineers to electronically
file their work with our central control room, we have
significantly improved both our efficiency and client
experience.
"Recognising the popularity of double-decker trailers across the
UK, we have purpose built repair facility that includes two repair
pits specific to these trailers at our headquarters and next year
will be investing a further £150,000 in our new premises, in
order to build our own test lane to carry out Vehicle and Operator
Services Agency (VOSA) inspections on site. Both of these
will help us to further develop the premier range of services we
offer, and with a number of new bluechip clients in the pipeline,
the investment will help us to continue to grow our team and
turnover."
Committed to carbon reduction, Bullwell Trailer Solutions'
utilisation of field engineers for on-site fleet management and
vehicle maintenance, can result in a 95 per cent carbon reduction
for clients. The company's 'new for old' unit exchange policy, also
sees around 80 per cent of replaced parts collected and recycled in
order to minimise the impact on the environment.
