Browne Jacobson has significantly boosted its rankings in the
latest edition of the independent legal directory Legal 500.
Legal 500 is one of the UK's leading independent reviews of
legal service providers. As part of the ranking process researchers
seek feedback from both clients and peers, to gauge the performance
of firms. Firms are then 'ranked' in tiers by practice
area.
The 2010 edition confirms the firm's pre-eminent status in the
East Midlands after it was awarded the highest ranking possible in
19 core areas, six more than the next best performing law firm in
the region.
Overall the firm was ranked first or joint first in 21 core
areas, two more than last year. The two additional Tier 1 ranked
areas include Healthcare and Commercial Litigation. It also raised
its ranking in nine areas including Education and EU &
Competition which were rated for the very first time.
Iain Blatherwick, Managing Partner, said: "Not only have we
maintained our leading position in so many disciplines but have
improved our position in nine key areas. In the current climate
that is a tremendous achievement. It is a huge endorsement of our
legal services and a testament to the incredibly hard work and
dedication of our people at all levels of the business over many
years. It also confirms our growing status as a major player in the
marketplace."
