The short list has been selected by an independent expert
judging panel for the 2010 AIM Awards, jointly organised by
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Ford Sinclair. The winners in each
of the 11 categories will be presented with their Awards at a gala
dinner in London on 14 October.
Lincoln-based, William Sinclair Holdings plc, an
environmentally-responsible manufacturer in the horticulture market
has been short listed for an award in the 'achievement in
sustainability' category. Global renewable energy company, Ocean
Power Technologies Inc, which has a UK subsidiary in Warwick,
specialises in offshore wave power technology and has also been
short listed in the same category.
Paul Norbury, partner and AIM leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers
LLP in the Midlands, said:
"The quality of the companies and individuals nominated for
these Awards clearly demonstrates the resilience of AIM at a time
when all capital markets are under pressure, and also reflects the
nominees' extraordinary achievements during the year. It is also a
testament to the success of an exchange which since its inception
has attracted more than 3,000 companies from across the world to
float on London's growth market. "
