A hassle-free way to export that does away with the need to deal
with foreign countries, has been launched by a West Midlands
company, with the appointment of highly experienced international
operator, Bill Almen. Bill, with 30 years experience of
developing international trade, is launching a service to help UK
companies, by easing them into the Middle East region without
having to leave their desks.
The new service is being launched by Lichfield-based Broadlands
and will be based at their offices in Qatar and Bahrain. "We
will be representing UK companies in the Middle East as agents and
find them routes to market," said Bill. "We already have a number
of UK companies on board and we're now actively looking for others
with high quality products to join us. Several of these have never
exported before and are amazed at how our skills and experience
have made the process hassle-free for them as we also help with
shipping, documentation and payments."
The service will also allow companies to respond fast to
requests for visits to clients in the Middle East and red tape will
be cut to a minimum as the exporters will be trading with
Broadlands under UK law.
Bill, a well known popular figure in the West Midlands, was
formerly with the Government's export advisory service, UKTI, but
before that he spent many years in the private sector specializing
in the Middle East and Asia. He has been involved in several
high profile projects, including the F1 circuits in Abu Dhabi and
Bahrain, the Atlantis Hotel and Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai,
Disneyland HK and the new Skyplaza terminal at Hong Kong
airport.
He said Broadlands would be taking the mystery out of exporting,
dispelling the fear factor adding: "We'll be available on demand,
saving companies huge amounts of money, time and hassle in
expensive air fares and hotels, plus the added problems of
complying with local laws and customs in the Middle East."
Broadlands MD, John McGuire, said: "We have wide experience in
the Middle East through our training programmes for blue chip
companies and Governments. Bill's arrival as Director of
International Trade, will allow us to capitalize on this experience
and offer West Midlands companies a unique, personal service".
