Derby-based rail and technology incubation unit, the iD Centre, has appointed Louise Jones as centre manager.

Louise joins the iD Centre, based within the rtc Business Park on London Road in Derby, from its sister incubation centre, Banks Mill and Network House, where she has spent the past 18 months.

Prior to working with the network of incubation centres, which are all run by Derby University, Louise spent eight years working as a marketing manager within local government and prior to that worked within the private sector.

In her new role, Louise will manage every aspect of the day-to-day operation of the iD Centre, including meeting new tenants and conducting tours of the facilities, co-ordinating tenant meetings and workshops, sourcing advice and support for tenants and maintaining the smooth operation of the facilities.

In addition, Louise will also be exploiting her considerable experience to implement a proactive new marketing campaign on behalf of the iD Centre and to provide additional business support to tenants.

Commenting on her appointment, Louise said:

"I am delighted to be joining the iD Centre and look forward to getting to know the tenants and learning about their businesses."

The iD Centre is a fully serviced business incubation facility specially for technology-based and engineering businesses, with 32 fully furnished office units ranging from 105 sq ft to 438 sq ft.

All units have a staffed reception, meeting rooms with video conferencing facility, kitchen facilities, subsidised restaurant, free parking and a 360-degree business incubation support package.

The iD Centre is supported by the EDRF, a programme, which provides funding to economic regeneration schemes and organisations regionally.
