Prize-winning artwork by school children from St Peter's Primary
School in Mansfield has been put on display at the entrance to a
Bellamy Road construction site helping to warn of the dangers of
playing on a building site.
With the help of Mark Chettleburgh, production manager from
Loughborough-based contractor and developer, William Davis Ltd and
Executive Mayor of Mansfield District Council, Tony Egginton, the
six children proudly watched as their designs were put into
place.
Mark Chettleburgh commented: "As a company we feel it is our
responsibility to educate local school children of the dangers of
playing on or near a construction site. By encouraging them to draw
posters and displaying them on site, we hope that this message has
been received."
The £5m partnership project with William Davis Ltd and
Mansfield District Council will transform the Bellamy Road estate
and when complete will provide 43 new family homes available for
rent - the first new Council properties to be built in the district
for around 30 years. The project is part funded by the Homes
and Communities Agency, the national housing and regeneration
agency for England.
