RHCV ends the year with a bang

RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) Nottingham's independently-owned Renault Trucks dealer is ending the year on a high having just wrapped up a million pounds worth of business in the months leading up to Christmas.

Operating from its Lenton Lane base, RHCV has done no less than four deals with businesses from all around Nottinghamshire recently, growing its presence and reputation across the region.

The deals prove that despite tough trading conditions, the wheels have certainly not come off Nottingham's freight industry. Nottingham-based companies IMR Transport, Brookes Bros timber services and Martyn Barratt have taken a total of 19 trucks on contract hire between them and RHCV has also sold one truck to Andrew Bilton Transport & Haulage.

RHCV general manager Paul Pearson said, "The business has really gained momentum this year especially in the sales division where we have sold 300 vehicles - exceeding all the targets we had set ourselves.

"I am particularly pleased with the deals done with IMR Transport and Brookes Bros because neither company had ever operated Renault trucks before. I attribute this conquest business to the high levels of customer service we offer and our unique collect and delivery guarantee that we offer on servicing."

The high level of customer service was especially praised by Nottinghamshire haulier Andrew Bilton who recently brought a Renault Magnum truck from RHCV.

"The company really showed us they were willing to go the extra mile, something I believe is a reflection of the fantastic group of people who work there. They have worked hard to build a relationship with us and I look forward to working with them again in the future. " he said.

Recently RHCV demonstrated its commitment to its clients by helping Trowell-based Martyn Barrett transport celebrate their 25th year providing a special "flagship" silver livery for one of their normally black trucks. This was part of a deal which saw nine Renault trucks go out on contract hire to the 50-truck operator.

Paul is confident the company can build on their recent success next year and added, "With the opening of our 8,000 square foot Leicester site in Cossington in May we believe we are in a particularly strong position to grow our market share across the East Midlands."

Formed in 1977, RHCV has been a Renault Trucks dealer since 1986. RHCV is part of the RH Group, established almost 40 years ago, that operates the UK's largest European road freight network and has positioned itself as one of the market leaders for International freight in the UK.
