Brick tinting pioneers Bebbington Brick Services have revamped
their weathering tint product to open it to a wider audience
through builders' merchants and DIY retailers.
The Stoke-on-Trent based firm, whose founder George Bebbington
invented brick tinting in 1968, has rebranded their product, which
is applied to new brick, mortar and masonry to create the
impression they have been in place for many years.
It's also available in a wide range of colours.
The product is currently available through numerous merchants
around the country, including EH Smith, and selected branches of
Buildbase, but Managing Director Mark Bebbington is making a
concerted effort to bring it to a wider audience.
As well as the rebrand, he has expanded his sales force to help
drive the project, bringing in four new sales people around the
country.
He said: "The product has been available since the 1980s, but we
feel the rebrand will help it realise its potential.
"Every builder should have a tub because it is easy to apply and
creates an even finish, unlike the weakening tint sprays on the
market. It will also live forever and just needs a stir if it's
been sitting for a while.
"And we are happy to develop other colours to suit any
requirement. We would just need to see a sample or photo to create
the right shade."
The weathering tint is suitable for all masonry and stone
products, and is guaranteed for the lifetime of the brick.
Bebbington Brick Services was established in 1968 and has worked
on a number of brick tinting projects, including (some info re:
eye-catching projects worked on, eg Aintree Racecourse).
They also specialise in graffiti and paint removal and brick
engraving.
