PwC staff get ‘Caring at Christmas’

PwC in the Midlands has entered into the festive spirit, making more than 100 charitable donations through the firm's annual 'Caring at Christmas' appeal.

The appeal, which encourages staff to give gifts to be donated to local charities, has been running for more than six years and continues to go from strength to strength.

This year 115 presents, ranging from toys and books to kitchen utensils and toiletries, were collected by the appeal. The gifts went to a number of charities in the region including The Birmingham City Mission, Sure Start Edgbaston and The Bridge Project, which runs a hostel for the homeless and is hoping to use the items donated in a new hostel opening in the New Year.

David Gandee, community affairs champion at PwC in the Midlands, said:

"Despite the many years that PwC has been taking part in the 'Caring at Christmas' appeal, we continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity that has been shown. All of the charities received the donations gratefully and we hope that the gifts help to spread some festive cheer."
