Proactive PR - the UK based international multimedia public
relations consultancy - has won a contract to provide PR and
television services for next year's ECOC exhibition in Geneva,
Europe's largest optical communications exhibition.
Nexus Business Media, which organises the event, has enlisted
Proactive PR's services to help boost exhibitor and visitor numbers
at what is already Europe's leading optical communications event.
It also expects to attract an increasing number of speakers to
participate in the Market Focus presentations, which have become
increasingly popular year-on-year. In addition, Proactive PR will
be delivering the exhibition's own television channel, ECOC TV,
during the event.
"As a company we have several years' experience in the world of
optical communications and we are absolutely delighted to have this
opportunity to work with Europe's number one event," said Proactive
PR Managing Director Brian Dolby.
"Our support for Nexus Business Media will focus largely around
online PR and providing the most in-depth television support the
show has ever organised."
ECOC is a key meeting point for the fibreoptic communications
technology industry, from manufacturers and suppliers to service
providers of products, and attracted nearly 5,000 visitors in 2010.
FTTH Council Europe, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Verizon,
Cisco, Google, Oclaro and Huawei are just some of the leading names
which have previously taken part in the Market Focus
presentations.
