Shropshire's largest law firm, Lanyon Bowdler is looking forward
to the prospect of consolidating its position in the region, with
the acquisition of Hereford solicitors Lewis & Co. Partner
Peter Lewis heads the office, conveniently situated on King Street
in the heart of the city. The legal services on offer are being
expanded to include agricultural expertise, complementing the
firm's position as the NFU's panel solicitors.
Commenting on the recent developments, Peter Lewis says "These
are very exciting times and I am delighted to now be a part of
Lanyon Bowdler. I have known the firm for a long time and have
always found the lawyers to be straight talking, reliable and
practical - precisely the type of people I know my much valued
clients would appreciate, and it provides them with the opportunity
of an expanded range of services."
The Hereford expansion follows the merger earlier this year with
Oswestry based L G Solicitors. With offices throughout the region,
the very best legal advice is conveniently available to
everyone.
Managing Partner David Battisby said, "This most recent
expansion is a superb opportunity for Lanyon Bowdler and we are
looking forward to meeting and working with businesses and private
individuals in and around Hereford."
Despite a struggling economy, the firm has seen expansion in
several departments during the past 12 months. The growing
reputation of the firm's Clinical Negligence Department, led by
Paula Nash, has resulted in an increase in work and solicitor Lucy
Small has recently been recruited. Lucy joins the firm from
Worcestershire based Harrison Clarke, with extensive experience in
both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence work, she will provide
expert legal advice from the Ludlow office.
The firm provides regular seminars, ranging from Employment Law
updates to informative sessions surrounding Succession, Will &
Tax Planning and Matrimonial issues, these seminars will start to
be held in the Hereford area in the New Year. Quarterly newsletters
providing news in a variety of legal areas are available - to
