Green Compliance plc, a rapidly growing provider of water, fire
and pest control & compliance services to organisations
throughout the UK, has announced a further acquisition within the
fire protection sector. On 1 December 2010, the company completed
the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of FDSA Fire
Protection Services Limited.
Based in Harrow, FDSA has traded since 1988 and has 9 staff. The
company provides fire safety services including the maintenance and
installation of fire protection equipment, risk assessments and
training to a wide range of organisations in London and South East,
but primarily to housing associations, schools and hotels.
The business will be integrated into Green Compliance's existing
fire operations with the intention of maximising potential
productivity and operational efficiencies within the combined
group. The day to day operations of the business will remain
unchanged under the general management of Nigel Walker. In
the short term Martin Reed, the principle shareholder, will stay on
to ensure a smooth handover before he leaves to pursue new business
interests.
Commenting on the acquisition John Prowse, CEO of Green
Compliance plc, said: "The acquisition of FDSA is our 4th within
the fire protection sector and allows us to deepen our national
footprint by increasing our presence in London and the South East.
In line with our successful strategy to expand our focussed growth
within the water, fire, pest and energy compliance arenas this
acquisition further establishes Green Compliance as a credible
player within the UK compliance services market.
FDSA brings also with it an established, quality, client base
which will allow us to strengthen client relationships within the
London and South East market."
