When Stafford Grammar School's board of governors decided it was
time to bring the school's website up to date the Stafford Website
Company was the natural choice. Influential in its decision was the
company's work on the design and development of a fresh new website
for Stafford Preparatory School, a contract for which Stafford
Website Company had fought off stiff competition.
This, combined with the company's no-nonsense approach,
comprehensive plan for meeting the brief and fair pricing meant
that the board had an easy decision. The fact that the team is led
by a former pupil of the school, Penny Gamble, was a happy
coincidence, as head teacher Mr Darley explains:
"We wanted to bring our website up to speed so that it provided
a visitor experience that reflects the ethos of the school. The
objective was to create a professional, attractive site that would
serve as a prospectus for parents considering sending their
children to the school in addition to providing an online platform
where information could be made available for existing parents and
students. We also wanted a website that we would be able to update
ourselves quickly and easily.
"The Stafford Website Company had recently developed a website
for our colleagues at Stafford Preparatory School, which we were
very impressed with, so we had a feel for the quality of the
company's work. The fact that we know Penny from her time as a
pupil at the school was an added bonus - it's always a pleasure to
see what our pupils go on to achieve."
The new Stafford Grammar School website, which can be viewed at
www.staffordgrammar.co.uk has been designed to provide a sleek,
professional website that is easy to manage. Features include a
bespoke content management system with auto-feed of news headlines
to the home page, to help keep this page relevant and up to date,
and an events section that integrates with Google calendar. Penny
says:
"The brief was to provide Stafford Grammar School with an online
presence that would serve the dual needs of existing and
prospective parents and students while providing the web
administrator with a simple interface that would allow them to keep
the site up to date in house. I particularly enjoyed working on
this project as, as a former pupil, I have a real insight in to
what the school stands for. It was a pleasure to visit the school
again - it's now been ten years since I left!"
The Stafford Grammar School website is just one of a host of
website projects that the Stafford Website Company is presently
working on for local clients.
