Dukes Bailiffs has adopted the latest in database mapping
technology to improve its operating efficiency and increase its
customer service deliverables.
The system in question is software-based and used by such
well-known companies as L'Oreal and ParcelForce across a range of
applications, for example optimising sales territories, managing
customer expectations and fine tuning catalogue delivery to
consumers.
Described by its designers as a fully-featured object-orientated
database system, Dukes' latest innovation will help the company's
bailiffs to analyse, plan and implement the most efficient route
for their day's work schedule.
The system uses data exported from the company's debt recovery
files and displays it on maps, allowing Dukes' to interrogate and
interact with the information, then allocate cases across the
workforce of bailiffs and customer service advisors.
When any particular case has been assigned the system operator
can select a start and finish point and the software programme will
deliver the most efficient route.
For Dukes and its customers, the new system is expected to
provide a competitive edge by ensuring optimised journey time and
therefore improved collection rates.
Managing Director Colin Naylor explains that the new system will
also offer environmental benefits. "It's particularly important,
especially to our public sector clients, that we operate
efficiently and that we consider the social impact of our work. We
expect the new system to reduce wasted journey times, and therefore
to reduce fuel consumption and cut total exhaust emissions. I'm
looking forward to seeing the results both in terms of our
efficiency in collections and a reduction in fuel usage".
