Burton & Dyson partner qualifies as mediator

Gainsborough-based solicitors firm Burton & Dyson has expanded its offering to clients after one of its partners qualified as a mediator.

Lisa Whitelam is now an accredited ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Group mediator after completing a training programme focusing on civil and commercial disputes.

ADR Group is regarded as a leading national and international authority in mediation and other dispute resolution techniques. It has been providing mediation services for 20 years.

While the qualification means that Lisa can be called upon to act as mediator in disputes between parties who may be with other law firms, Burton & Dyson clients will be able to benefit from the expertise and experience of commercial mediations that she gains from the role.

Commenting on her qualification, Lisa said: "This is an important role designed to help resolve disputes with a focus on achieving the best possible outcome for all parties.

"Mediation provides a structure for the resolution of conflict, which in a commercial setting, can mean that a dispute can be resolved speedily, cost effectively, and by reaching a commercially viable solution - which litigation through the courts rarely delivers!"
