Browne Jacobson has appointed real estate finance lawyer Nina
Armstrong to its banking team.
Armstrong, who joins after more than fours years at DLA in
Birmingham, has extensive experience in advising banks, financial
institutions and borrowers on real estate finance transactions and
restructurings. Prior to joining DLA she worked for magic
circle firm Clifford Chance.
Nina has an excellent knowledge of real estate finance
transactions, including acquisition, investment and development
finance transactions and refinancings through her role as a lead
adviser on major commercial, residential, retail, urban
regeneration and contaminated land projects, both regionally and
nationally.
Paul Ray, Head of Banking at Browne Jacobson,
commented:
"Nina's experience and skills set are a superb fit with our
strategy of strengthening our property finance credentials. Nina
has acted for a number of the region's real estate lead players
from property investors to some of the major financial
institutions. Her substantial experience will be a significant
asset and will put us in a unique position by enabling us to offer
an integrated banking and real estate service to clients involved
in property transactions.
Nina added: "Very few firms have a truly integrated real estate
finance offering so I am delighted to be joining a firm that is
truly committed to developing its expertise in this area. Banking
and real estate have probably been the most challenged of all the
sectors by the current economic downturn. However, there is a sign
that the market is starting to recover with more financing options
being made available and new lenders entering the sector. It is an
exciting time to be joining Browne Jacobson and I am looking
forward to adding value to its already very strong reputation in
banking and finance."
