Much acclaimed Birmingham Chef, Andy Waters, has recently invested in the growth of Birmingham's status as a culinary capital, by investing in a new website, and embracing social media.

Andy Waters, of Edmunds Restaurant, located in Brindleyplace, recently launched his new website, and has embraced social media through Twitter to keep his diners, who are hungry to learn more about his suppliers, ingredients, and events and be as up to date and fresh as his ingredients "I never thought I would be updating my customers on my phone" laughs Andy "I am a bit of a techno-phobe, like many chefs I understand, but since we decided to launch a new website, we have been persuaded by our Marketing support agency to update our own marketing to our customers by embracing social media, and actually it is good fun". Andy who opened Edmunds Restaurant with wife Beverley 3 years ago, has certainly made his mark with Birmingham diners "It was time we created a website to match our food style - fresh, accessible and with a little fun" remarks Andy. Wife, and front of house maitre de Beverly adds  "Fine dining should be fun, and in this current climate, affordable - we are very keen to ensure everyone leaves Edmunds Restaurant fully satisfied, and knowing they have received the best service and value we can possibly offer. We are delighted with our new website, and at last I can update our menus daily to keep our customers up to date on what they can be eating that day"

James Day Director of Midlands based Lifestyle Marketing Agency Leisure Marketing LTD who have created the website added "We are finding that there is an ever increasing need for Social media support in our industry due to the fun and social aspects of eating out - as a dedicated marketing support company for hotels and restaurants, we focus a great deal of our time on advising on new media, especially when we build websites, so our customers can embrace it and update their own websites - quickly and easily - Edmunds have been a great customer, and have a really refreshing approach to their business, food, and their customers - nothing is too much trouble, and they always have their customers in the fore-front of their minds. It has been a real pleasure working with the team, and we are delighted that they are embracing our Social media advice, and keeping Midlands diners, and those further afield up to date - they are a real ambassador for the rapidly growing Birmingham Restaurants scene - and with a trebling their website visits in almost as many weeks, they are pleased to report bookings up too"
