One of Shrewsbury's leading legal practices has welcomed three new faces to the property team - as the section sees a rise in business despite the impact of the recession.

Linder Myers LLP, based in the High Street, Shrewsbury, has just completed another financial year and, according to their regional Managing Partner, Bill Jarvis, has seen fantastic achievements amid the tricky market.

Mr Jarvis said: "There has been a number of significant changes in the make up of Linder Myers LLP over the last twelve months which has, in many respects, had a rollercoaster effect.

"We started the financial year by joining forces with the established Shrewsbury legal practice of Moss & Poulson; we then saw the remaining former partners of Scott Lister, Stuart Lister and Spencer Newsome, retire; and, at the same time, we have taken on three key property lawyers, Joanne Parsons who specialises in residential property, and Julie Trimble and Charlotte Nutting, who deal with commercial property and agricultural work.

"The acquisition of Moss & Poulson was a great result for Linder Myers LLP, a Manchester based practice who wanted strong ties within the Shropshire community.  We have been extremely fortunate", says Bill Jarvis, "in that we were able to acquire two totally different but well respected legal practices from 2008 and 2009 which has allowed Linder Myers to hit the ground running.  We already knew that Spencer Newsome and Stuart Lister were looking to retire but we wanted to ensure that all their clients would continue to receive the excellent service and support which they enjoyed with the partners of Scott Lister.

"Having Joanne, Julie and Charlotte join us over the last twelve months has enable us to achieve our wish to continue to support the existing clientele of the business but also to develop new areas of expertise and to take on additional work."

"This financial year has been a fantastic achievement for Linder Myers LLP Shrewsbury and, despite an undoubtedly tricky commercial and residential property market, we have enjoyed month on month growth which far exceeded my initial expectations."

Mr Jarvis added that Linder Myers LLP is always looking for enterprising, enthusiastic and ambitious lawyers to join their successful practice.
