Miller Homes East Midlands is inviting Lincolnshire residents to
take advantage of the HomeBuy Direct (HBD) initiative while it's
still available.
The scheme, which is offered until March 2011 at the
award-winning housebuilder's newest Lincolnshire development -
Deansleigh, offers those buyers who qualify the chance to purchase
100 per cent of a new property by paying only 70 per cent of the
value up front.
The remaining 30 per cent is equally funded by Miller Homes and
the Government, becoming repayable after 25 years or when the
customer sells their home, whichever comes first.
Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands,
commented: "The HBD initiative has proved to be extremely popular
particularly with first-time buyers, making moving more affordable
and giving people the confidence to purchase a spacious new
home.
"Many young people don't think they can afford to buy their own
home so rule it out without looking at the options and instead turn
to renting. HBD can give first-time buyers the opportunity to buy a
brand-new quality home, but people need to move quickly to take
advantage of the initiative."
Laura Grimmett is just one of many to have benefited from HBD in
the region.
"HBD was an affordable way to get my foot onto the property
ladder, with the confidence of owning 100 per cent of the property
from day one. Once I had done all of the sums, I was shocked to
work out that the mortgage repayments each month were actually
cheaper than paying rent."
Amongst the limited number of properties offered via the HBD
scheme at Deansleigh is the three-bedroom semi-detached
Hawthorn-style home, which is available from £135,950, but
with HBD you could only pay from £95,156.
It features a spacious lounge-dining room with dual-aspect
windows and French doors, making it ideal for entertaining. In
addition, the property benefits from a luxurious master bedroom
with an en-suite shower room, and downstairs WC.
Deansleigh is located in a leafy residential area on the
northern edge of Lincoln and benefits from picturesque views of the
nearby Lincoln Cathedral, while also being surrounded by green
space. Just a 15 minute walk to the city centre, Deansleigh is also
in close proximity to the A46 and major rail routes, making it the
ideal choice for anyone looking to commute to the rest of the East
Midlands.
