So many of us invest in funds, through savings, pensions and
ISAs, but how many people have actually met the person managing
your investments? The world of fund management may appear
somewhat obscure but there are real people managing money - what
does their job involve and what is happening with the current stock
market? The best way to answer these questions is to talk
direct with a fund manager and find out their view on where
opportunities lie, what investments they are looking at and what
this means for you.
But meeting a fund manager is understandably hard to do, until
now.
Thanks to Philippa Gee Wealth Management and Lanyon Bowdler
Solicitors, Shropshire is about to benefit from a unique visit from
one of the country's leading fund managers, who will be taking part
in a 'Question Time' style question and answer session, speaking
first-hand and in straightforward terms about the world of
investments and just what they involve. James Foster, of leading
company Artemis Investments, is regarded as one of the best bond
Fund Managers in the UK. He has 20 years experience of managing
bond funds and was one of the first to establish a retail bond fund
in the UK. James has managed all the major bond asset classes,
focusing more recently on discretionary bond portfolios. With
his colleague, Alex Ralph, James manages the Artemis Strategic Bond
Fund.

This fascinating Q&A session will be held on 11 February
2011 starting at 11.00am, and will be hosted by Lanyon Bowdler at
their offices on Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury. Philippa will be
firing the questions at James, but there will be the chance for
those attending the event to have supplied any specific questions
they may have, prior to the event.
This is a rare event and an opportunity not to be missed, as
there will be the chance to learn more about this area of
investment, and what a Fund Manager actually does and the
implications on you and your investments. In the current
stock market climate, with knowledge being power, can you afford to
miss it?
To book a free place on this event, and to submit advance
questions for James Foster to possibly be asked on the day, please
