East Midlands Reynolds Recruitment has grown and developed significantly in the 25 years it has been in existence.  

Originally established as a driving agency, the Nottingham based company now provides a comprehensive range of recruitment solutions to clients across the East Midlands. MD Rod Harris explains how the business has grown. "We decided to make the move from a driving agency into all aspects of driving recruitment in December 2006 and our business has continued to develop from there.  

"We now provide a variety of solutions for clients ranging in size from large blue chip organisations through to small and medium-sized companies spanning the commercial, driving and industrial sectors."

Skills development

As the business has grown, the management team has developed its skills accordingly. When it was decided to look at bringing some of the accounts work in-house, Business Link was contacted.  As a result, a local Business Link adviser worked with the company and helped them identify and access funding for one of the Directors to undertake the Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) qualification.

"Business Link were extremely helpful explains Rod. "Achieving the qualification has given this Director new skills and a valuable insight into financial issues.  As a result we can carry out some of our bookkeeping and accounting work in-house which is saving us money."
