Staff from a Shropshire accountancy firm have been striking a
pose to help raise money for Save the Children.
The charity campaign has been launched by employees from Dyke
Yaxley Chartered Accountants, in Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury.
They have joined forces with the charity's shop in Wyle Cop, in
the county town, as part of their commitment to local causes.
Organiser of the project, Hazel Ruscoe, said staff throughout
the company had donated all kinds of unwanted items to be sold in
aid of the cause.
"We are delighted to be supporting the Shrewsbury branch of Save
the Children, and we worked with them to create a special window
display featuring many of the items we have donated.
"To launch the project, two of our staff even became models for
the day in the shop window, wearing outfits we had put together
from our donations.
"At Dyke Yaxley, we are firmly committed to supporting local
charities, and we're particularly grateful to our staff for their
enthusiasm and generosity.
"We're hoping to raise as much money as possible for this worthy
cause, and developing new and innovative ideas to help other
charities in the future."
Employees have donated a wide range of items to the shop
including clothes, linen, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, CDs, and
jewellery as part of the week-long campaign.
