A Lincoln-based PR agency is shortlisted for two prizes in the
prestigious Chartered Institute of PR Pride Awards this week.
Shooting Star PR will find out on Wednesday (10th November) if
it has won the Small Consultancy of the Year award and the Best
Publication award at the CIPR's Pride Awards in Leeds.
The agency was shortlisted in the Best Publication category for
Enterprise magazine which it produced in partnership with graphic
designers Studio View on behalf of the University of
Lincoln.
Established in 2006 by Directors Jez Ashberry and Kate Strawson,
Shooting Star PR was Lincoln's first specialist public relations
agency.
The firm has more than doubled in size in the last two years and
has worked for a range of public and private sector clients
including the NHS, the Greater Lincoln Partnership, the Lincoln
Hotel and The Old Station Nursery.
Shooting Star PR now has five employees and recently took on its
first Rising Star as part of a new undergraduate scheme to develop
young talent at the University of Lincoln.
The PRide Awards is the only awards scheme which showcases the
best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and
nations.
Shooting Star PR Director Kate Strawson said: "We're really
looking forward to taking the team to the awards ceremony on
Wednesday and we're hoping we'll come back with an award or
two!
"Just being nominated is a tribute to the hard work of all our
team and a reflection of our success."
The CIPR Pride Awards ceremony will take place at Saviles Hall
in Leeds at 6.30pm on Wednesday 10th December 2010.
