Experts at a Telford bicycle firm have welcomed a new member to their team - but he's already a familiar face.

The Bicycle Hub, in Jackfield, which celebrates its fourth anniversary this month, was founded by Peter Bird, an international bicycle professional with over 30 years' experience in the industry.

And now, Peter and his team have been joined by Rob Wade who has worked all over the UK and Europe for some of the biggest names in the cycling world.

Peter said: "Rob worked for me 25 years' ago, and so it's wonderful to be reunited now at The Bicycle Hub.

"In the years in between, Rob has worked for Trek Bicycles, which is the largest bicycle company in the world, and also handled sales management working for Nike Cycle Clothing.

"His experience will be an invaluable asset to our team, and we're all looking forward to working with him to grow our business still further."

Rob said he was very pleased to be working with Peter once again, and was keen to develop The Bicycle Hub and its associated companies in national and international markets.

"It's a very exciting time here at the Hub, and we have ambitious plans for a very bright future."

The Bicycle Hub was set up for cyclists of all disciplines and each member of the team specialises in different forms - for road, sportif, off-road, commuters, leisure or family cyclists, the Bicycle Hub has an expert with the knowledge to offer the right advice.

At their shop, there is a bicycle showroom, a repair and service centre, a wheel-building shop, stocks of parts and accessories, an advice centre, a BikeFit service, cycle training and courses, and a calendar of events and social rides.

The Hub is also home to The Tandem Shop and Tandem Experience.
