A prestigious Worksop landmark is about to undergo an extensive
refurbishment, transforming it into a high quality development of
shops and office space.
The Crown House on Newcastle Avenue is to be refurbished after
the Department of Health and Social Security left the building two
years ago. After a period of vacancy the building will be
completely transformed. The ground floor will boast high quality
retail units, with the upper two floors forming approximately
10,200 sq ft of office space.
Crown House was built in the 1970's, but the building that was
there previously holds fond memories for the people of Worksop
where it served as the town's cinema. The current buildings
importance will continue through its transformation as businesses
and shoppers will soon benefit from its new use. Extensive
modernisation will be carried out, including the installation of a
brand new lift system making the building DDA compliant.

Standing in a prime location, the building is a short walk from
the main retail area of the town. Ample parking is provided for the
offices as well as being easily accessible for commuters due to the
local bus stops.
Richard Hassett of commercial property agent Fisher German
comments "A new use was sought after the previous tenant left. Due
to its size and prime location it was an ideal opportunity to
create a high quality mixed use retail/commercial development.
"It is promising to see such developments going ahead in what is
generally considered an economic downturn. This could indicate that
confidence is returning and there is a need for high quality office
and retail space".
The offices are available either as complete floors or
potentially smaller suites. For further information, please contact
