A local photographer is celebrating a mammoth charity milestone
after raising more than £3,600 for organisations across the
region in the last year.
Telford-based Phil Hynds is a renowned event photographer and is
donating between 15% and 20% of all of his earnings for attending
functions, to charities of the organisers' choice. "There are so
many worthy charities locally, and I was looking for a way to
support them when I hit upon the idea of making a sizeable donation
for each and every photo that I took at events and functions" Phil
explained.
"Not only are the photos a great way of capturing a great memory
of a special evening, but having a mobile studio at the venue
really adds to the whole guest experience. I attend every event at
no cost to the organisers and simply charge individuals for photos
taken, but keep the cost of each down to just £15 to make
them readily accessible. For each photo I make at least a
£2.00 donation to the charity of the organisers' choice, and
in the last year we've already raised a huge sum - in excess of
£3,600 - and we haven't even entered the busy Christmas
season yet" Phil added.
Although the diary is filling up fast, Phil Hynds Photography
does have some availability still for events coming into the
festive season. "I'd urge anyone who would like to add a certain
something to their own event, while raising funds for a charity
close to their heart, to get in touch as soon as possible. Although
we do book up very quickly, if there's any way that we can support
functions across December we'd be happy to, and together with local
event organisers I hope that we can reach our £4,000 total
with ease and perhaps raise even more" Phil concluded.
Phil Hynds photography was established in 2008 and runs a
dedicated office and studio from Telford Business Centre. The
company specialises in photographing people, whether at weddings,
in the studio, or at events like charity balls, golf days or
equestrian events. As well as simple mounted shots, Phil Hynds
Photography can offer frames and more personalised photos such as
mock magazine front covers, and green screen shots with a
background of the subject's choice.
