Coventry and Warwickshire law firm, Alsters Kelley, has boosted its Family team with two new appointments.

Julie Spencer has returned to family law after training at Birmingham firm Benussi & Co and previous to that, she practised as a pensions lawyer at Wragge & Co. She also brings with her valuable knowledge of financial issues having gained many years experience the financial services industry.

Nicola Goddard also joins Alsters Kelley with 9 years experience in family law, having previously worked at Seymours and Brethertons. She is specialising in supporting clients who are eligible for legal aid in relation to all aspects of relationship breakdown. Nicola will also provide free advice sessions at the domestic violence support organisation, the Coventry Haven Project bi-weekly on Thursdays.

Both look forward to continuing their careers at the firm: "The Alsters Kelley family team has a great reputation in the region and I am very pleased to be resuming my career in family law here", Julie said.

Nicola added the draw to being a family lawyer at Alsters Kelley; "is being encouraged to resolve issues for clients realistically, using the non-confrontational methods the firm promotes."

Erica Kemp, Partner and Head of Family said: "We are delighted to have strengthened our team with two new recruits.

"Julie and Nicola have combined passion and experience in law - our firm prides itself on hiring creative, dynamic lawyers who go that extra mile to find the best solutions for our clients."
