A series of new senior level promotions have been announced by Nottingham based, specialist immigration law firm, Paragon Law.

Deirdre Sheahan and Mark Lilley-Tams both become associates, after initially joining the firm for work experience after graduation. Deirdre, a specialist in human rights and refugee law, and Mark, who is one of only 15 immigration law specialists in the country to be accredited at level three, will now be responsible for individual teams of lawyers as part of their new role.

Taking the position of operations director, Marcus Worthington has been at Paragon Law since it was founded in 2003. He will be pivotal in driving forward the firm's systems and processes, ensuring the smooth running of business operations at the company's six offices, spanning three continents.

The final promotion is that of Kirin Abbas, who becomes Paragon Law's new director of legal services. Kirin will continue to develop the exceptionally high standards amongst her teams that she has become renowned for, as well as taking direct control of the management for the legal services business.

The news of the promotions follows the recent appointment of Ghuffar Usman, former head of immigration law at Cartwright King Solicitors, as an associate.

"The structure of our new senior level team is testament to our dedication to promoting talent from within," commented Thalej Vasishta, managing director of Paragon Law.

"2010 marks the seventh year of business for the firm and it's rewarding to look back at how we've developed and grown the team over the years to include some of the country's top legal experts.

"The new promotions, along with the appointment of Ghuffar, mean that we're in a strong position to ensure that we continue to represent our expanding portfolio of clients to the highest possible standard."

Paragon Law is recognised as one of the country's leading immigration law firms and assists UK businesses in the employment of skilled foreign nationals, as well as advising overseas companies and individuals looking to invest or trade with the UK. In addition, Paragon Law also offers advice on immigration outward to both China and India.
