Ross-on-Wye based Muddy Boots Software has formed a new Charity
and Events Committee to support local and national charities and
societies. The first fundraiser was held on Friday 29th October,
when the company supported the Breast Cancer Awareness 'Wear it
Pink' day. £85 was raised by members of staff and Muddy Boots
matched the amount; making a grand total of £170.
Muddy Boots' Unilever Account Manager, Anna Powell from
Micheldean, was awarded the 'Muddy Boots Pinky Prize' for donning
the pinkest costume on the day. Anna won a box full of pink
delights, including pink currant vodka, Prosecco, sweets, cookware
and flowers.
www.muddyboots.com, leaders in traceability and quality
assurance for sustainable food and farming, has a strong commitment
to the local area; "Herefordshire is very much part of Muddy Boots'
heritage - not only are we keen to keep talented professionals in
the rural area, but we are also passionate about supporting the
local community," states Jonathan Evans, Managing Director of Muddy
Boots Software.
In addition to the company's charity donation, the new
committee, comprising of 6 members of staff, will be organising
cake stalls, dress down days and other fundraising activities to
raise as much money as possible.
"At a time when public spending is at its lowest, charities will
always be the first to suffer. We therefore wanted to inject the
fun into fundraising and ensure that we continue to offer our
support to some valued organisations. So far we have been
delighted with the enthusiasm from members of staff, although we
haven't organised any leg waxing or head shaving yet…!"
concludes Emma Stockley from the Charity and Events Committee.
