Four and a half-year old Archie Giles from St. Johns, Worcester
proves that your best friend's name is as special as your best
friend.
When asked to name a very special piglet at the newly-launched
fishery and outdoor activity centre, Cob House, Archie immediately
wanted to name it after his best friend, Molly.
Archie entered a competition that Cob House ran recently to name
a piglet and out of all the hundreds of entries his was chosen. He
completed his entry form and wrote that he would like to name the
piglet "Molly, named after my best friend at school".
Cob House's proprietor Helen Taylor was delighted when the name
Molly was drawn as it just seemed to fit perfectly with the 'Kune
Kune' piglet's affectionate and genial character.
Archie and Molly were treated to a day at Cob House feeding and
generally getting to know the many animals that live there,
including Alpacas Jabba and Kwai GonGin. There are chickens,
rabbits and ducks and some very special guests that have just
arrived.
Mrs Taylor says: "We are delighted with the level of interest
and support we have received since launching the Cob House centre
in the summer, all the visiting children seem to be fascinated by
the animals, but we also have a range of fun outdoor activities to
suit everyone including fishing and archery.
"Even more exciting news is that we have some very special
animals staying with us. They will be having a rest before their
busy Christmas schedule where they will be helping a certain well
known person to pull his sleigh.
"We are hoping that our breakfast with Santa event running from
the 18th to the 24th December, where children will be able to meet
two of his reindeers and sit in his sleigh and have their
photograph taken, will prove to be very popular with our young
visitors."
