With the introduction of an increase in the level of VAT in 2011
raising concerns for many local businesses, Business Link, in
partnership with Chartered Accountants Wright Vigar, is offering a
FREE advisory session to help businesses across Nottinghamshire
take effective steps and deal with the challenges ahead.
The event will look at what the actual VAT increase implications
are, what sales are affected, the new VAT fraction, any exemptions
available to help local businesses and the possible effects once
the change takes place.
Stephen Smith, Chief Executive of EMB Ltd, the organisation
responsible for local delivery of the Business Link service says
"We hope that businesses from across Nottinghamshire will seize
this valuable opportunity to attend and discover how the increase
could impact on all aspects of running a successful business, from
affecting sales to how accounts are managed, and benefit from the
free advice and support on offer, in addition to networking with
other business owners about how they approach VAT and pick up
useful tips."
The event on 23rd November 2010, is FREE of charge for business
owners and directors of small to medium sized enterprises, and will
include light refreshments.
Location: Newark Beacon, Beacon Hill Office Park, Cafferata Way,
Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 2TN from 2.30 - 4.30pm.
