Kim leads on customer care

A prominent UK housing and regeneration specialist has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a new group customer care manager.

Kim McMullen has joined Leicester-based LHA-ASRA from local government where she had been working as a consultant in the housing sector.

Her new role includes encouraging residents to participate in strategic decision-making - as well as handling complaints from LHA-ASRA's 12,000-plus customers.

"I don't see complaints as a problem as much as an opportunity to identify ways that we can improve the service we offer," she said.

"No organisation should be afraid of learning how to do things better."

Ms McMullen, who was born in Liverpool, has lived in the East Midlands for more than 20 years, and continued working while she studied for her Housing degree from De Montfort University.

She is also a member of the Institute of Housing.

As group customer care manager she oversees the work of five members of staff, including one based in London.

"It's a really interesting organisation to work for, and I have come in at a time of change, which is a good thing," added Kim.
