Award-winning housebuilder Miller Homes East Midlands has made a
cash donation of £300 to The Rumbles Catering Project to help
it continue providing training services to disadvantaged young
people and adults.
Based at Vicar Water Country Park, Clipstone, Rumbles has
developed training programmes and can provide NVQ and ACLS (Adult
Community Learning Services) courses for up to 13 trainees, all
with a range of learning disabilities.
In 2007 Rumbles took over the management of the Community Cafe
at Sutton Lawn Pleasure Ground in Sutton in Ashfield, and earlier
this year took over the running of a similar venture in Newark.
Gina Dolan, who manages the project, commented: "The
organisation relies on charitable support to help it continue
providing a valuable service to the community.
"The donation from Miller Homes will go some way to buying
essential items for the running of the project. We're very grateful
to Miller Homes and to all of our supporters."
Miller Homes, with its exclusive development at Sandhurst
Gardens, off Forest Road, Mansfield, is proud of its involvement in
the communities in which it has sites.
Sales director Joy Goodman commented: "Rumbles was highlighted
to us as an organisation whose work is unique in the community and
one that fully deserves the support of individuals and responsible
businesses."
Sandhurst Gardens has proved to be a highly popular development
for Miller Homes, with a recent buyer liking the site so much that
they purchased the showhouse itself.
There are now only a handful of opportunities left to buy a home
at Sandhurst Gardens, which is in the catchment areas of good
schools and within easy reach of excellent leisure amenities and
transport links.
