An historic swimming baths in New Basford is to go under the
hammer next month.
Nottingham property agent heb is selling the Noel Street
teaching pool that originally opened in the 1930s and formed part
of the former leisure complex.
It is being auctioned upon the instructions of Nottingham City
Council and has a price guide of £175,000 -
£190,000.
Matt Hilton, partner at heb and auctioneer, said: "This property
has an approximate floor area of 8,701 sq ft and is suitable for a
variety of uses. Situated adjacent to the tram stop, it also
provides easy access to the city centre."
In its December heb will bring 25 lots under the hammer all
together including commercial property, houses and a development
sites.
Heb sold 96% of the lots at its October auction, and it's hoping
for an equally high success rate at its sale to end a hugely
successful year.
Another lot creating a buzz is a residential development site in
Carlton extending to approximately 0.23 acres.
Matt added: "Planning has already been submitted for a detached
3 bedroom bungalow, four two-bedroom and one one-bedroom apartment,
but equally would suit an alternative layout subject to
planning."
Other Nottingham commercial lots include The King of Diamonds
pub in Shirebrook and lot 16 - Windsor Garage on Ellis Road in
Beeston.
"Windsor Garage is a motor vehicle workshop close to Beeston
town centre with a price guide of £225,000 - £250,000.
It has integral offices and is suitable for other industrial and
storage uses.
"With commercial lots, it's important to think outside of the
box. They don't have to kept as they are; a lot of them have the
scope for alternative use and development."
Other lots up for auction include 22 residential properties at
various locations across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. There is
also a four-storey property with five bedrooms on Radford Road,
currently a residential investment in the strong local shopping
area of Hyson Green.
"This is a great example of buying with the intention to upgrade
and maximise the space. The price guide is £125,000+ and it
has great potential for retail on the ground floor, especially
being situated in the midst of a mix of national, regional and
independent retailers in busy Hyson Green."
"Our auctions this year have been very successful and we're
delighted at how they've turned out. It makes us feel particularly
optimistic about this one. It's going to a great end to a fantastic
year."
It has already been a successful year for the Notts-based agent
after being named the best-selling new auction house in the UK by
the essential Information Group
The heb auction will take place on 14 December at Nottingham
Belfry Hotel, Mellors Way, Nottingham at 2.30pm. For more
